Georgia to build power plants with record capacity in 2023

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Economy Minister Levan Davitashvili reviewed the plans and main priorities of 2023, as well as the dynamics of the implementation of the 2030 development strategy, at the working meeting, the Government Administration said.

The conversation touched upon major energy projects, with the Georgian officials highlighting the importance of the construction of power plants and the creation of additional capacities.

It was stressed that in 2023, power plants with the highest capacity of 105 megawatts would begin operating.

The average annual output of the mentioned power plants will be 473 megawatts, with the investment amounting to $140.7 million.

As was also mentioned, It was planned to announce an auction of 700 megawatts.
