The film by Colombian filmmaker Ciro Guerra, ‘Embrace the Snake’ has received the main prize in the nomination ‘Fiction Film’.
The ‘Silver Apricot’ went to film ‘The End of Winter’ by a director from South Korea, Kim Dae-Juan. The Jury special prize was awarded to ‘Vulcan Ikskanul’ directed by Jairo Bustamante.
The Italian-Canadian film ‘The Creation of Meaning’ directed by Simone Rapizardy Casanova was awarded the best documentary film. The second prize went to ‘Youth of Germany’, produced by a team from Germany, France and Switzerland, led by Jean-Gabriel Pero.
The best short film was ‘Everything Will be Fine’ by German director Patrick Folrata.
The Hrant Matevosyan special prize for best screenplay was won by Gagik Madoyan for the film ‘The Road’.
