A mortar shell landed on the territory of Russia’s Embassy in Damascus, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at the talks with his Syrian counterpart Walid Muallem.
"I want to thank the Syrian side for their efforts to ensure the safety of our diplomatic mission in Damascus and our citizens in Syria as a whole. On November 23 a mortar shell fell on the embassy’s territory again," RIA Novosti cited him as saying.
