Putin sends greeting to Kazakhstan’s president on Independence Day

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin sent a greeting telegram to Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev on that country’s national holiday - the Independence Day, the Kremlin’s press service said on Saturday, TASS reports.

"The Russian president has noted Kazakhstan’s achievements in the economic, social and scientific-technical spheres, the country’s high authority on the international arena and its big input in settlement of international problems - including as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, and in the framework of the Astana process," the Kremlin said.

Putin spoke positively about the successful development of the Russia-Kazakhstan relations, based on kind traditions of friendship, neighborhood and mutual respect - both on the bilateral basis and in the context of the developing Eurasian integrational processes.

The Russian leader expressed confidence in further strengthening of strategic partnership and union between Russia and Kazakhstan for the fraternal peoples’ benefit, in the interests of international security and stability.
