Azerbaijan and European championships’ organization are fantastic, Italian gymnasts David Nacci, Francesco Sebastio and Marko Vargiu told Vestnik Kavkaza after trio competitions in European Aerobic Gymnastics Championships in Baku.
“We are happy to compete in such a beautiful place. Everything is perfect here,” they said.
“It’s our first time in Baku. The city is fantastic. All places are amazing. Food is nice. And the arena is fantastic. It is great to be here,” the Italian gymnasts said.
The Italian athletes also promised to come back to Baku next year.
The National Gymnastics Arena in Baku welcomes FIG European Aerobic Gymnastics Championships for the first time. Athletes from 22 countries participate in the tournament. Juniors and seniors perform in individual exercises among men and women, mixed pairs, trio and groups, aerodance, as well as aerostep – only for seniors. There will also be winners in junior and senior team ratings. Athletes will compete for 15 sets of medals.
