By Vestnik Kavkaza

On New Year's Eve, the museums of the Moscow Kremlin are closed to the public; the children's New Year's performance will be held online, so the heart of Moscow is deserted. But, as the wife of the Soviet "Last Year's Snow Was Falling" animated film’s protagonist said: ”Is it possible to imagine the New Year without a Christmas tree? Huh?”

Today, a 96-year-old Christmas tree felled in Naro-Fominsk near Moscow was installed on Cathedral Square and decorated with thousands of toys and garlands. The photojournalist of Vestnik Kavkaza managed to see the New Year's beauty and feel the festive aroma of its needles.
