Baku sets the first record of Islamic Games

In an interview with Vestnik Kavkaza, Elchin Safarov, corporate director of the Islamic Games in Baku, said that preparations for this event have entered the final stage.
Firstly, Elchin Safarov stressed that organizers are trying to ensure all participants and spectators will enjoy the upcoming Islamic Games. We try to think through every detail and do everything we can, including for those viewers who must observe salah during the competition," he said.
Islamic Games in Baku will become the largest in history. "For the first time in the Islamic Games' history, 55 countries will participate in the competition. Naturally, due to this we have to take additional measures to meet the needs of every participating country. Baku wants to show itself not only as a center of sport, but also as a center of culture," he noted.
Athletes will live in a comfortable Village of Athletes, built for the 1st European Games. "We will use not only the Village of Athletes, but all infrastructure of the 1st European Games in Baku," he concluded.
