Chechnya’s leader Ramzan Kadyrov is in control of the situation in the Russian North Caucasus republic and no country is immune to the threat of terrorism, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"Kadyrov is unconditionally in control of the situation in the republic," Peskov said, noting Russia’s President Vladimir Putin "highly appreciates efforts of both law enforcement agencies and regional authorities to ensure law and order" in Chechnya.

"No country in the world can be immune to attacks of terrorists. Unfortunately, they can happen everywhere," TASS cited him as saying.
