Russia doubled trade turnover with Iran in January, Novak says

Russia almost doubled the trade turnover with Iran, the head of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, Alexander Novak said.

"A key impetus in the relations with Iran was Vladimir Putin’s visit to the country in November 2015. Since that time, the situation has changed dramatically: the last year we saw the result - the trade turnover grew by 70%. But I can say that this year the figures are even higher. For January, the trade turnover grew by 98%, comparing to January 2016, " Novak said.
