Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe Krasnoyarsk Territory Governor Viktor Tolokonsky, speaking to Vestnik Kavkaza, said about the participation of the regions of the North Caucasus and the South Caucasian states in the upcoming Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum (KEF), as well as the interaction of the region with the Caucasian business.
"We invite all regions, and the participation of the republics of the North Caucasus always important for us. We held forums when whole delegations arrived from the North Caucasus Federal District, and I usually ask the Minister for the North Caucasus, Lev Kuznetsov, to facilitate the participation of Caucasian companies in the KEF. Krasnoyarsk is very interested in inviting young people from the republics to study at our universities and colleges. There is a huge choice of employment in the Krasnoyarsk Territory," Victor Tolokonsky drew attention.
The Krasnoyarsk Territory itself is interested in the tourist and recreational opportunities of the North Caucasus. "We are developing relations in summer recreation with the southern regions. The Caucasus is constantly updating its resort facilities, which is very important for a region living in harsh environmental conditions. Therefore, we will be very happy if representatives of the North Caucasus regions come to the forum and ready to develop cooperation with them in every possible way," the governor emphasized.
Contacts with the republics of the South Caucasus are supported by both the Azerbaijani and Armenian diasporas. "Not long ago, we established the House of Friendship, and we are actively interacting with the diasporas. We have a tradition: every year in the autumn we hold the Days of the Caucasus in Krasnoyarsk. The national cultural autonomies take over the organization and hold a number of events," he said.
"We are also in contact with the embassies. I had meetings with the heads of the embassies and Azerbaijan and Armenia. We are ready to develop relations with these countries, because their representatives work in many of our sectors. We are open and invite the South Caucasus countries to cooperate with us," the governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Viktor Tolokonsky concluded.
