Armenia to host Junior Eurovision 2011
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaYerevan will host Junior Eurovision 2011 on 3 December 2011, head of
the council of the Public TV and Radio Company of Armenia Aleksan
Arutyunyan said, RIA Novosti reports.
The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) will cover most of the expenses
for holding the contest.
The Executive Director of Armenian Public TV, Gagik Buniatyan,
emphasized that a delegation of the EBU was satisfied with the Sports
and Concert Complex of Karen Demirchyan, where the show will be held.
The supervisor of the project, Goar Gasparyan, clarified that the
rules of the Junior Eurovision do not relate to the adult contest, in
which every winning country hosts the contest.
A 12-year old Armenian, Vladimir Arzumanyan, won the Junior Eurovision
in Minsk in late November 2010.
