Two parties leave Georgian Constitutional Commission

Two more opposition parties, the Alliance of Patriots and the party of ex-Speaker of the Georgian parliament Nino Burjanadze, the Democratic Movement, have left the State Constitutional Commission of Georgia.

Oppositional parties have repeatedly expressed dissatisfaction with the work of commission due to disagreements with the ruling party - "Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia" - on a number of issues, including the initiative to abolish direct presidential elections.
