Paolo Gentiloni: Russia strengthened Assad's positions

Thanks to Russia's support, Syrian President Bashar Assad's positions are stronger than two years ago, Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni believes.

"Assad is stronger than two years ago thanks to Russia, it's true," he said in an interview with Washington Post.
