Anna Baranova: I wish everyone successes at FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in Baku!

The Spanish national team intends to show all abilities of its new team at the FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in Baku, the coach of the Spanish national team Anna Baranova said, speaking to the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza.

"We are starting the Olympic cycle with a new team. The girls are very talented in terms of their physical abilities, but they do not yet have experience. The World Cup in Baku is their first international competition, where we will try our strength, show what we can and try to gain experience," she said.

Anna Baranova expressed confidence that the Spanish team will "assert themselves." "At the Olympic Games in Rio, Spain proved that it is capable of winning medals, and I think that the new team also could claim the podium positions. While our expectations are that the girls will gain experience and charmed the audience," the coach of the Spanish national team noted.

She thanked the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation for excellent conditions, and Baku residents - for their support. "There are wonderful conditions and wonderful public in Baku. It has everything necessary for the development of gymnastics, and we are happy to come here, because it is very convenient to train and prepare for the tournament here," Anna Baranova said.

"I want to wish everyone success at this start - both Azerbaijani gymnasts and gymnasts of other countries," the coach concluded.

The FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup will be held in Baku on April 28-30. Participation of 94 gymnasts from 21 countries is expected in the event, 37 of them in the individual program and 57 - as the ten group teams.  Athletes will compete for 8 medal sets.
