Zhala Piriyeva expressed gratitude to trainers and spectators for their support

In an interview with Vestnik Kavkaza, Azerbaijani gymnast Zhala Piriyeva expressed her gratitude to the Gymnastics Federation, the head coach Mariana Vasileva and the audience for their huge support, which helps her to show the best possible result.

She noted that she performed better on the second day of the competition. "The first day wasn't that great, but thank God it did much better on the second. Today I felt much more confident, yesterday I worried too much, because it's my homeland, there's a huge responsibility," she said.

Coaches and spectators helped to overcome everything that troubled her and perform confidently. "It's very important for me that head coach Mariana Vasileva and my personal trainer supported me. I also would like to thank everyone in the audience, it's great that they came here and supported us," she added.

The FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup will be held in Baku on April 28-30. Participation of 94 gymnasts from 21 countries is expected in the event, 37 of them will perform in the individual program, while 57 gymnasts will take part within the teams of group exercises. Athletes will compete for 8 medal sets.
