Ukrainian national police ex-chief regains Georgian citizenship

Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili has granted Georgian citizenship to the former chief of the Ukrainian national polic and former Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Khatia Dekanoidze.

In July 2012, she was appointed Minister of Education and Science and remained in this position until 25 October 2012. On 4 November 2015 Dekanoidze was appointed as Chief of Ukrainian National Police. She resigned from this post on 14 November 2016.

Currently she lives in Georgia and takes an active part in the work of the former ruling party 'United National Movement'.
