Construction work at Turkey's first nuclear power plant is due to start in a month, Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci said on Thursday, Reuters reported.

Zeybekci made the comment in an interview with broadcaster NTV. Turkey has previously said it expects the first unit of its planned $20 billion Akkuyu nuclear power plant, which is to be built in collaboration with Russia on Turkey's Mediterranean coast, to be online by the end of 2023.
