11 prominent Russian politicians concerned about the Caucasus

The Agency for Political and Economic Communications has published a rating of the 100 most prominent Russian politicians. 3 Caucasian officials were included in the list. They are the Presidential Envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District, Alexander Khloponin, the Head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, and the Head of the Ingush Republic, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov.

In this annual rating Alexander Khloponin has taken 18th place (94th last year). Khloponin is high-ranking official, who managed to assume the Vice Premier's office. The Head of Chechnya has taken 62nd  place, which is a great honour, as local leaders in general are not mentioned in this list. The head of Ingushetia came in 99th place.

It's very interesting that 11 members of the newly-established Commission for the Development of the North Caucasus Federal District are included in the list of the most prominent Russian politicians. They are the Prime Minister himself (1st place in the ratings), the Presidential Envoy, the Heads of the federal subjects of the District, the Minister of Healthcare and Social Development, Tatyana Golikova (11th place), the Minister of Economic Development, Elvira Nabiulina (19th place), the chairman of "Vnesheconombank" state corporation, Vladimir Dmitriyev (33d place), the chairman of "Sberbank", ex-minister German Gref  (49th place), the Minister of Transport, Igor Levitin (55th place), the Minister of Education and Science, Andrey Fursenko (60th place), the minister of Regional Development, Victor Basargin (73d place),  the Minister of Agriculture, Elena Skrynnik (85d place) and the Minister of Sport and Tourism, Vitaly Mutko (91st place).
