Azerbaijan’s Mehdiyev wins judo gold medal at Baku 2017

Azerbaijan’s Mammadali Mehdiyev won a gold medal in the 90kg judo event at the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games, Trend news agency reports.

In the finals, he defeated Algeria’s Abderrahmane Benamadi with a score of 1-0.

The 4th Islamic solidarity Games are held in Baku on May 8-22. Athletes will compete at 16 sports facilities in 17 Olympic and three non-Olympic types of sports
