Georgia will not accept loss of its territories - Iliya II

The great powers should abandon their militaristic policies,Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia Iliya II has said, as quoted by his representative during a Baku religious summit.

"The world community is experiencing a difficult period, and the Baku summit has been called to discuss this situation," he said.

"Georgia is located in a difficult region, at the crossroads of the interests of the great powers, thus our country has faced several conflicts on its territory. Georgia will never accept the loss of Abkhazia and the Tshinvalskii region (South Ossetia) and will do everything possible to restore historical justice and the unity of its territories," he added.

The Georgian patriarch was unable to personally attend the summit.
