Regional energy summit kicks off in Tbilisi
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe regional energy summit opened in Tbilisi today. It will discuss issues related to the regional energy infrastructure necessary to facilitate trade and secure electricity supply.
The summit was opened by Georgia's Energy Minister Kakha Kaladze. "The regional energy summit is a modification of the summit of cross-border electricity trade and events held last year," he noted.
"Today, Georgia is an official member of this organization," he recalled. "Proceeding from this, our task is rapprochement with the standards of the European Union and the development of an agenda for relevant reform activities, which will also be tailored to the specifics of the region," Sputnik-Georgia cited Kaladze as saying.
