Iranian Official: fuel swap can be negotiated

The Assistant Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council said during the recent talks in Istanbul that the issue of exchanging fuel can be negotiated in case of reciprocal cooperation, Trend reports.

In an interview with the Iranian TV channel, Ali Baqeri said that European Union Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton had proposed that it would be better to conclude the issue of exchanging fuel in order for some achievement at this meeting.

He said that the issue of exchanging fuel can only be discussed under cooperation circumstances, and that if the other side does not believe in cooperation, then the issue would not be discussed.
