Patrushev: tourists in Crimea protected by reinforced police forces
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe Crimean authorities have doubled the number of patrol-guard units in resort cities and places of mass recreation on the peninsula to counter terrorism and extremism, the Secretary of Russia's Security Council Nikolay Patrushev said today in Simferopol during a meeting on national security issues.
"Measures have been taken to ensure the order and the security of citizens. The number of patrol-guard units in resort towns and places of mass recreation has been almost doubled," RIA Novosti cited Patrushev as saying.
In general, the Secretary of Russia's Security Council described the socio-political and criminogenic situation in Crimea as stable, noting that positive changes are observed in the economy and the social sphere.
