Igor Barinov to Vestnik Kavkaza: 'Arkhyz' helps government find common language with public
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaIt is difficult to overestimate such sites as the Arkhyz forum in Karachay-Cherkessia, the head of the Federal Agency for Nationalities, Igor Barinov, told the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza.
"It is especially true when representatives of state, as well as regional and republican authorities meet part of the society that cannot sit quietly at home. These are representatives of non-profit organizations, the nonprofit sector, public organizations, which are worried about the matter, which they are engaged in," the head of the Federal Agency for Nationalities said.
"At the Arkhyz forum we talked about how to make the interaction of the government, regional authorities and public organizations more full and trusting, where to find mechanisms, how to support those people who are trying to implement those projects that are important for the country, for the region where they live, on their own enthusiasm and with their own money," Igor Barinov noted.
The head of the Federal Agency for Nationalities stressed that some such ways have already been outlined, and his department will try to move further in this direction. "We will try to support some projects with the opportunities that we have. Perhaps, negotiate with the region through the subsidy of the region, to support this project, which we consider really meaningful and worthy of the region's funding. I think we will launch such mechanisms in the near future," Igor Barinov concluded.
