Oil prices rise on world markets

September futures for WTI rose 0.49% to $48.99 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) yesterday evening.

The prices of September futures for Brent oil have risen by 0.98% to $51.47 per barrel on the ICE Exchange in London.
