Nazarbayev invites Rouhani to attend OIC summit in Astana

Kazakhstan and Iran need to strive for the full implementation of the agreements reached by the leaders of the two countries in the past year, Kazakh Foreign Minister Kairat Abdrakhmanov said, attending the inauguration of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

According to him, special attention should be paid to the implementation of projects in the transit and transport sphere, in the field of tourism, agriculture, and mining industry.

Abdrakhmanov also conveyed to Rouhani an invitation from the Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev to take part in the first summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) which will be held in Astana on September 10-11.
