Russia's vegetable prices started dropping, and this trend will continue, the country's Agriculture Minister Alexander Tkachev said.

"The prices will start to decline by the autumn, for vegetables in the first place," he predicts.

The Agriculture Minister noted that this year Russia 's vegetable harvest will remain at last year's level of 16.5 million tons.

Tkachev predicted that Russia needs at least three years to achieve 90% coverage of its vegetable market.
