Moscow hands over two An-26 aircraft to Bishkek
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaHandover ceremony of two An-26 aircraft and opening ceremony of the aircraft maintenance unit took place at Kant airbase, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan said in its statement.
The aircraft were handed over to Kyrgyz party in the framework of grant aid on the basis of agreement between the Presidents of the countries. In addition to aircraft and equipments, the Ministry of Defense of Russia provided replacement parts, stand-by units, consumable products, training materials and practical tutorials for military officers of the Air Defense Forces of Kyrgyzstan, AKIpress reported.
The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan Raimberdi Duishembiyev, representatives of Russian Ministry of Defense, Central Military Command and Kant airbase led by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia Alexander Fomin attended the ceremony.
