Chief of Russia's General Staff to visit Turkey

Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov will visit Turkey to discuss the Syrian crisis, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said.

He did not specify the exact date of Gerasimov’s visit, TRT Haber news channel reported.

According to Cavusoglu, Turkey and Russia actively cooperate on the crisis settlement.

He pointed out that, unlike the US, Russia is not arming the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) and the Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD).
