Database of Russian children, taken to the Middle East by parents who decided to join the terrorists, will be created soon, children’s rights commissioner Anna Kuznetsova said. Yesterday, eight children and four women have been evacuated from these countries by a plane that landed in Chechnya’s capital Grozny.

According to Kuznetsova, this return can be called the beginning of a great work that should be carried out jointly with all departments and, of course, taking into account the experience that Chechnya has. "It is important for us to work on this database together with all federal agencies," she said.

In turn, representative of Chechen leader in the Middle East and North Africa Ziyad Sabsabi said that work to return of children and women to Russia will continue in the near future. "Ramzan Kadyrov has agreed to meet with Iraqi Defense Minister, we will discuss the issue of release of Russian citizens," he said.

Recall that the regional public fund named after Chechnya’s late President Akhmad Kadyrov has provided funding for the mission to bring Russian citizens back home.

Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov earlier discussed the return of Russian children from Iraq and Syria with Anna Kuznetsova, TASS reported.

The commissioner said the number of requests to evacuate Russian children from war-torn countries has grown. Earlier reports said more than 350 children were illegally taken from Russia to Iraq and Syria.
