Russian President Vladimir Putin shares the confidence of his South Korean counterpart, Mr. Moon Jae-in, that there will be no war on the Korean peninsula.

"As my colleague from the Republic of Korea, I am sure that a large-scale conflict will not occur, especially with the use of the mass destruction weapons," he said, speaking at the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum. Putin believes that "all the opposing sides have enough common sense an understanding of their responsibility for people who live in this region, and we will be able to solve this problem by the diplomatic means."
