Traffic problems in Armenia over heavy snow

although citizens in some districts say they have seen no vehicles on
the streets, News Armenia reports.
There has been heavy snow in Armenia since early morning. Transport
was stopped in some mountain areas. Traffic jams were registered in
Yerevan.
The mayor's office says that some 70 tons of salt and approximately
160 cubic meters of sand are being used to clear roads and pavements.
The press-service says that all administrative districts were provided
with 1300 tons of salt and 2200 cubic meters of sand.
Citizens say the transport is dragging. Many fail to reach work on
time. Only the subway is operating in a normal mode.
More heavy snow is expected.
