King of Jordan dismisses government

The King of Jordan Abdullah II has dismissed the government and appointed Marouf Bakhit as the Prime Minister, replacing Samir Rifai, Reuters reports.

Jordan had mass protests against the economic policy of the government and rising prices in January.
