Putin congratulates Sargsyan on Armenia’s Independence Day

Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Armenia's President Serzh Sargsyan on the republic’s national holiday, Independence Day, praising the efficient Russia-Armenia cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union, the CSTO and the CIS, the Kremlin press service said.

In his message, Putin noted that this year Moscow and Yerevanare marking two important dates, the 25th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations and the 20th anniversary of signing the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance.

The President of Russia expressed confidence in the further strengthening of the alliance between the two countries.
