"Peoples of Azerbaijan and Armenia tired of Karabakh problem"
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe presentation of the book titled 'Ilham Aliyev returned us to Jojug Marjanli' and the film titled 'Jojug Marjanli - the beginning of a historical return' is being held in Baku today. Azerbaijan's Deputy Prime Minister and presidential aide for political and public affairs, Ali Hasanov, addressing the event, noted that the liberation of the Lyalya-tepe height in April 2016 was a logical continuation of the successful Horadiz operation, which was held in the days of Heydar Aliyev in 1994.
According to him, very few people from the occupied territories were trained in the country's military schools five years ago, but President Ilham Aliyev ordered to increase the number of such students. "In five years this indicator has risen thirty-fold. Today, the people from the families of IDPs are in the front ranks in Karabakh," the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza cited the government's deputy chairman as saying.
In addition, he commented on the speech of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan at the UN General Assembly. According to Ali Hasanov, the President's text was prepared by those who want the collapse of Armenia and the speedy withdrawal of Sargsyan. "Echmiadzin's echoes were heard in Sargsyan's speech. I think they were related to this speech and probably wish Sargsyan's political death," the deputy prime minister noted.
At the same time, he focused on the fact that the peoples of Azerbaijan and Armenia are tired of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. "If the Armenian people want to live in peace with Azerbaijan, then it must get rid of the current regime. The current authorities will never solve the Karabakh conflict, because they came to power on the blood of this conflict," Ali Hasanov said.
He also noted that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) adopted a very important decision in New York yesterday. "The IOC decided to limit the Islamic countries' cooperation with Armenia, but we believe that this is not enough. We demand from the UN and the OSCE to impose sanctions against Armenia. The President of Azerbaijan had a serious message at the end of his speech. He said that if the aggressor applies the aggression one more time, then he will be punished according to all canons. I think we need to listen to this," the vice-premier concluded.
