Suspect detained in Italy may not be brother of Doku Umarov

A man arrested in the Italian town of Mestre, who was previously
identified by the Italian media as the brother of Chechen rebel leader
Doku Umarov, and then an ordinary citizen of Tajikistan, is the
brother of a terrorist who committed suicide in the Moscow subway in
March 2010, Ansa reports.

According to the agency, which refers to other information agencies,
the detainee is a 35-year-old native of Dagestan, Anwar Sharipov, who
is on a warrant list in connection with the bombings in the metro,
which killed 40 people, RIA Novosti reports.

Two explosions occurred on the 29th of March 2010 at the Lubyanka and
Park Kultury stations in Moscow. 40 people died and about 100 were
injured.
