Birth rate grew in Russia in 2010

In Russia, the birth rate grew by 1.6% in 2010, the death rate grew by 0.7%, RIA Novosti reports.

In 2010, 1 789 million people were born - 28 000 people more than in 2009. 2 031 million people died.
Russia's population fell by 241 400 people.
