Vladimir Vasilyev becomes acting head of Dagestan

Corresponding decree was signed today by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Kremlin press service reported.
"To appoint Vasilyev Vladimir Abdualiyevich as acting head of the Republic of Dagestan," the decree reads.
During a meeting with Vasilyev in Kremlin, Putin noted that a lot of things are done in the region to improve people's lives, but there are still many unresolved problems.
"I would like the republic to be headed by a person with experience of federal work, a politician at the federal level. I wanted to ask you to become acting head of the republic until September of next year," Putin said.
Putin also said that he expects Vasilyev to be able to show his best qualities and experience, accumulated during the years of work in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and the State Duma.
