Suspected Moscow terrorist surrenders to police

Artur Magomedov, suspected in the terrorist attack at the hotel of the
Sports-Pistol Club of the Military-Hunter's Society in Moscow, has
confessed to the crime, Alexey Serdyukov, head of the investigation
department of the Investigation Committee, said, RIA Novosti reports.


Zeynab Suyunova had given up to the police earlier, saying that she
was being prepared for a suicide bombing.


The wife of Daudov, one of terrorist leaders in Dagestan, died in an
accidental blast at the hotel. Suyunova was to carry out a terrorist
attack at Red Square on New Year's Eve.


Suyunova gave up in early January, Magomedov - in late January.
Suyunova said that the group took her child away and threatened to
kill it. She said in her note that two female terrorists were sent to
Moscow with explosives, one of them blew up by accident, when putting
on a belt with explosives.


The Basmanny Court in Moscow sanctioned the arrest of 4 suspects.
Magomedov was detained for 2 months. He informed the police that he
has brain and heart problems. He had been arrested for illegal arms
trafficking before and was sentenced to five years of prison.
Magomedov was pardoned and released after 3.5 years last year.
