Pensions raised in Chechnya

240,583 people in Chechnya will receive higher pensions, Yuga.ru reports.


The deputy head of the Russian Pension Fund office in Chechnya, Nurid
Aduyev, said that an average pension in Chechnya is 6029.03 rubles.
Pensions were raised by 530 rubles on February 1, making them
equivalent to 6559.55 rubles.


Aduyev said that state indexation of pensions is planned in April.


They are the so-called social pensions, the size of which depends on
the rise of prices for goods and services. Monthly monetary payments
will be increased by 6.5% on April 1, 2011. 184,000 people will
receive them, he said.


According to the Chechen office of the Russian Pension Fund, there are
321,342 pensioners in the republic.
