Walter Stevens: Nagorno-Karabakh conflict needs settlement, not status quo

Nagorno-Karabakh conflict needs political settlement, not the status quo, the chairman of the Political and Security Committee of the Council of the European Union, Walter Stevens, said at a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

"As for Nagorno-Karabakh, when you were in Brussels with the President of Armenia, President Tusk expressed his opinion very clearly. We would very much like that a political settlement be found, not the status quo,” Stivens told Ilham Aliyev.

Stevens stressed that they fully support the co-chairmen in this regard.
