Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway constructed

The Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway has been constructed, the chairman of the Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, Javid Gurbanov, said at the Argus Azerbaijan International Petroleum Summit 2017 in Baku.

According to him, the commissioning ceremony of the BTK railway will be held in late October.

Gurbanov added that first freight trains will operate on the Astara (Azerbaijan) - Astara (Iran) railroad section in late November 2017.
