Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway to be inaugurated in Baku

An official ceremony for inauguration of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway will be held on October 30 in Baku, the chairman of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC Javid Gurbanov said.

The peak capacity of the 826-kilometer railway will be 17 million metric tons of cargo per year, with initial stage projections of one million passengers and 6.5 million metric tons of cargo, Trend reported.
