Georgian parliament to gather only if necessary

The Georgian parliament passed a bill on "Amendments and adjustments
in the order of the Georgian Parliament" today. Plenary sessions of
the parliament before elections in local administrations will only be
held if circumstances dictate, Trend reports.

Local elections Tbilisi mayoral polls will be on 30 May.

The decision is due to some deputies being unable to combine
pre-election campaigns and parliamentary work.
