Over 315 tons of bootleg alcohol confiscated in Kabardino-Balkaria

Police in Kabardino-Balkaria confiscated over 315 alcohol and alcohol
products, as part of operation 'Alcohol-2011' that started in
mid-January, RIA Novosti cites a local police spokesman, as said.

The source clarified that 100 litres of alcohol products were found
hazardous for health. He added that 17 crimes were revealed. 16 of
them are related to article 238 (production, storage, transporting,
sales of products that do not meet security demands) and 1 related to
article 327 (false labels) of the Russian Criminal Code.

The police also stopped a vehicle carrying almost 50,000 bottles of
alcohol products with false labels.
