According to the statement, “the Georgian government is firmly committed to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Spain within its internationally recognized borders and is considering Catalonia as an integral part of Spain. The Government of Georgia condemns the unilateral declaration of independence by Catalonia and supports the Spanish Government's efforts to restore legitimacy and regulate the situation in accordance with the Spanish Constitution, the rule of law and the respect of all citizens of Spain. The Georgian government greatly appreciates steady partnership with the important partner of our country - Kingdom of Spain, which is based on shared values and traditional friendly relations," the statement reads.
