Ivanishvili increases his wealth by $300 million

Former Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili increased his wealth by $300 million last year, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

Ivanishvil's wealth is estimated at $5.72 billion (the 305th place in the ranking).

Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos is the richest person on the planet, followed by Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates with a fortune of $88.7 billion.

US businessman Warren Buffett was third in the latest ratings, with $88 billion in assets, followed by Amancio Ortega, Spain's Zara clothing tycoon, with a $77.2 billion fortune, and Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg with $75.4 billion.
