Trump: Russia would not want me to be president
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaUS President Donald Trump reiterated his stance on special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian collusion during an exclusive interview with Sharyl Attkisson of "Full Measure."
"I've been watching this for how has it been a year? It's very unfair. It's very bad for our country," Trump said. "Russia wouldn't help me. And I think the last one Russia would want to be president is me because of my attitude on oil and because of my attitude on military and strength."
When asked whether he would consider having Mueller removed from the investigation, Trump said he was "truly not involved in any form of collusion with Russia."
"Well I hope he's treating everything fairly and if he is, I'm going to be very happy," the Wall street Journal cited Trump as saying.
Trump also called out Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's campaign. He says it is "despicable" that Clinton's campaign helped fund a dossier with alleged negative information about him and that Russia played an integral role in it's release. The President believes that if the FBI used the dossier in their investigations - it is "a real problem for them."
