Putin seeks wider mandate for Russian National Guard

Russian President Vladimir Putin has proposed legislation to widen the responsibility of the National Guard to include protecting regional governors ,Radio Liberty reports.

The bill was published on the website of the State Duma, the lower house of parliament, on November 6.
