Kyrgyzstan issues 2000 som commemorative note

The first 2,000 som commemorative banknote was issued in Kyrgyzstan today. This is the first vertical bill in Kyrgyzstan, the chairman of the Kyrgyz National Bank Kubanychbek Kulmatov said.

This note commemorates the 25th anniversary of the introduction of the national currency and the 25th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan's independence, AKIpress reported.

The original design reflects the history of the formation of Kyrgyz statehood: from ancient times to the present day.
